Our intention is to inspire people to get better informed, to pray, and to speak out against racial injustice by writing letters, blogs or e-mails to advocate for answers and accountability from newspapers, law enforcement officials and political leaders around the world.

Salter McNeil & Associates is pleased to announce that Rev. Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil has been named the Scholar in Residence at North Park University for 2009. This relationship is born out of a common commitment to Jesus Christ, a high regard to the Church and the task of educating young men and women in undergraduate, graduate, and seminary programs, and a mutual resolve to facilitate intercultural competence and to promote ethnic and racial reconciliation both within the Church and in society-at-large.
As Scholar in Residence, Dr Salter McNeil will:
- Speak in the University’s mid-week chapel program
- Consult with both the President and the senior administrative team
- Meet with the University Council to discuss her most recent book: A Credible Witness: Reflections on Power, Evangelism and Race
- Lead a workshop with the Board of Trustees to enhance their effectiveness in promoting intercultural competency and racial reconciliation
- Serve as the keynote speaker for the Annual Student Diversity Leadership Conference on October 23, 2009
